Amit Kumar Choubey is Techno-Social Scientist, holds B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering, M.A Governance and Development, Institute of Development Studies, SUSSEX University, UK, Certificate in security of Human rights defenders and activist with PI, Brussels, Belgium also hold certificate in I-Policy of Public Policy. Amit has been identified as Leaders for development by CCS, New Delhi and CYS-Pravah, New Delhi. Amit has represented SUSSEX University as Union Councilor and IDS Student president through winning election in SUSSEX University Student Union elections in England. He has presented/published about 15 research papers in international/national journal & Conference proceedings. The inner call to pursue a cause for Social development in India led to setting up of Sri Someswar Nath Mahadev Trust ( Sanmat) an NGO with like-minded professionals and Students in Chennai during college days. I got an opportunity to work with village connection group of Lewes Town, UK and empowered people of Lewes Town (UK) by projecting and designing a weekly local market named Tower Market for small farmers this shaped my knowledge and understanding on livelihood issues both at theoretical and practical level. After returning to India I got interested in working on the projects related to livelihood and education joined BASICS - The livelihood school as extended professor and documented successful livelihood projects and trainings at regular level. At the same time also started mobile school for underprivileged children and formed more than 50 youth groups in East Champaran district to strengthen livelihood prospects, raise Local issues . We have also run de-addiction campaign and signature campaign towards construction of road with support of 24000 signatures of local public in East Champaran. Currently I have presence in each every Having worked as a State level trainer for Mahadalit Mission of Bihar Government and trained more than 400 Vikash Mitra of East Champaran as well as conducting training on social inclusion and children for Plan India and working on Right to Education (RTE), RTI in East Champaran District has built my capacities of working with Government Departments to implementing projects at grass-root levels. I have filled more than 1000 applications of RTI in Bihar state. Protest against corruption in Indira Awas yojana and Aangan badi lead by me along with more than 2000 women beneficiaries. I am also taking care of Socio economic cast census project of Govt. of India as Consultant monitoring and evaluation with ECIL vendor EMDEE & Fast Dial Services Pvt. Ltd, Patna. I believe that as I possess a vast canvas of experience on implementation education and livelihood projects and have an experience of managing a team demonstrates my suitability for the post. I have also taken interest on areas like IT for empowerment of youths (As I have been involved in IT Skill, Electrical, Beautician, Masonry training centers at many places in Bihar), in East Champaran alone we have trained and placed/self employed more than 3000 youths including women. We are in the process of starting 38 skill centers in Bihar in every district which will train, place and generate self employment for more than 12000 pro Dalit (called Mahadalit in Bihar) families. We have used unique innovation in implementing Post Matric scholarship Scheme of Govt. of India lately adopted by Govt. of Bihar and created impact on l\the lives of more than 125000 Dalit students across Bihar and more than 1200 alone in East Champaran.
